Hamas Movement called on all media platforms to agree on a code of honor enhancing the Palestinian journalist’s role and providing protection and safe environment to media work.
Marking the Palestinian Journalist Day on Saturday the Movement called on human rights and humanitarian institutions to expose the Israeli occupation’s crimes against Palestinian journalists and to prosecute Israeli officials before international courts.
The Movement also hailed Palestinian journalists who were victims of the Israeli heinous crimes the last of whom was the journalist Shireen Abu Akleh.
In 2022 150 Palestinian journalists were either arrested or sent to house arrest. 20 of whom are still held in Israeli jails.
