The Islamic Resistance Movement Hamas condemned on Wednesday the ongoing Israeli settlement expansion activities the latest of which was a decision by the Israeli minister of war Avigdor Lieberman to build 3000 settlement units in the occupied West Bank.
Hamas’s spokesman Abdul Latif al-Qanou’ said in a press statement that “this decision is a serious escalation that aims to steal and control more Palestinian lands.”
Al-Qanou’ added that Israel is trying to impose a new demographic fact on the ground as part of its racist policies.
He called on the Palestinian factions and forces to adopt a comprehensive national strategy based on resistance to counter the Israeli attacks on the Palestinian lands and holy sites and to check the settlement expansion.
The Hamas spokesman urged the Palestinian Authority and its security forces to stop pursuing resistance fighters stressing the need to unleash all means of resistance in the West Bank to be able to respond to the Israeli crimes and confront the accelerating settlement activity.
