Hamas condemns assassination of Iranian scientist

Saturday 28-November-2020

The Islamic Resistance Movement Hamas condemned the assassination of the Iranian nuclear scientist Mohsen Fakhrizadeh on Friday evening in the Iranian capital Tehran.

The Movement said in a statement on Friday “This assassination coincided with continuous American and Zionist threats to the Islamic Republic of Iran with the aim of depriving it and the nation from possessing the tools of scientific progress and power so as to enable the Zionist occupation and the expansionist settlement project to control these tools and fields.”

It charged that such a crime was meant to involve the region in a cycle of violence and turmoil to serve the “Zionist interests and schemes.”

It presented its sincerest condolences to the Iranian Muslim people and to the Iranian leadership for the martyrdom of this nuclear scientist.

“We are fully confident in the ability of Iran and the nation to compensate for this loss with more work and progress in a way that breaks the monopoly of the arrogant powers over scientific progress in the region” Hamas added.
