DAMASCUS (PIC)– Hamas Movement has affirmed that it will never waive right of legitimate resistance against the Israeli occupation affirming that the Right of Return (RoR) for Palestinian refugees couldn’t be compromised at all cost.
The Movement’s affirmation was uttered by Hussein Al-Awawda one of its political leaders in Syria in a massive rally the Movement organized south of the Syrian capital Damascus on Friday to commemorate the week of martyrs and land day.
“The Zionist occupation understands no language but the language of force as evident by its pullout from Gaza Strip under Palestinian resistance fire” said Awawda during his speech at the rally.
He also asserted that the RoR for Palestinian refugees is a sacred right that couldn’t be waived abandoned or superseded by any party.
For his part Palestinian lawmaker and former PA public works minister Abdul Rahman Zaidan hailed the steadfastness of the Palestinian people on their land adding that the unjust economic blockade had started to crack down by virtue of that strong determination.
Zaidan is visiting Damascus along with a delegation of his colleagues in the PLC as part of the delegation’s Arab tour with the aim to rally Arab support for the PA unity government and to spur them to rescind the unjust economic sanctions on the Palestinian people.
The lawmaker however indicated that the USA and Israeli efforts to break up the Palestinian unity hadn’t relaxed; yet he underlined that vigilance on the part of the Palestinian people and insistence on their democratic option succeeded in foiling those conspiracies.
He also warned of a group within the Palestinian community that is attached to external powers and trying to spoil the Makkah accord stressing that the Palestinian people are capable of blocking and terminating that group’s schemes.
