A delegation from the Hamas Movement on Sunday arrived in Algeria’s capital at the invitation of the Algerian President Abdul-Majid Tebboune to engage in Palestinian national dialogue.
In a press statement the Movement said that the delegation included the members of its political bureau Khalil al-Hayya Maher Salah and Husam Badran in addition to the Movement’s representative in Algeria Mohammed Othman.
For his part President Tebboune announced that his country would host a meeting for Palestinian factions to resume reconciliation talks prior to the Arab summit scheduled in November asserting that Algeria is determined to achieve Palestinian unity.
Earlier in July the Algerian president brought together the Palestinian Authority president Mahmoud Abbas and the head of Hamas’s political bureau Ismail Haneyya after inviting them to attend the celebrations of the 60th anniversary of Algeria’s independence.
