A delegation from the Islamic Resistance Movement Hamas led by political bureau member Rawhi Mushtaha arrived in Cairo on Monday evening for talks with Egyptian officials.

Hamas’s spokesman Fawzi Barhoum said in a press statement on Tuesday that the delegation will attend meetings on the efforts made to end the suffering of the Palestinian people in the Gaza Strip and the repeated Israeli attacks on the Palestinians.

This visit is part of a series of visits conducted by Hamas leaders in Gaza to Egypt to discuss bilateral relations as well as the latest developments in the Palestinian arena.

CAIRO (PIC)– A delegation of the Hamas Movement led by political bureau member Ezzet al-Resheq arrived in Cairo Sunday for indirect talks with Israel over a possible calm in the Gaza Strip.

Well informed sources who received the delegation on arrival to Cairo said that the delegates arrived aboard Egypt Air plane from Doha.

They added that the six-member delegation did not include officials from Gaza due to the deteriorating security conditions.

The sources said that efforts were being made to facilitate arrival of a Hamas team from Gaza within the few coming hours to take part in the talks as part of the joint Palestinian delegation.
