A senior Hamas delegation headed by the member of the Hamas political bureau Rawhi Mushtaha left on Sunday to Cairo to resume the talks that started in June between the Movement and the Egyptian Authorities said Hamas in a brief statement.

Earlier secretary general of the government’s administrative committee in the Gaza Strip Osama Saad said that a technical delegation will leave to Cairo to discuss the mechanisms to implement the recent understandings reached with Egyptian officials.

Saad added in a statement to al-Ray news agency that the delegation includes representatives from the ministries of interior health economy and finance noting that several issues concerning security in border areas Rafah crossing electricity and fuel supplies will be discussed.

Director General of the Internal Security Forces in the Gaza Strip Major General Tawfiq Abu Naim said in an exclusive statement to the PIC on Saturday that the delegation will follow up what has been agreed upon regarding supplying security equipment such as barbed wires surveillance cameras and fuel.

The Egyptian authorities allowed last week the entry of shipments of diesel fuel through Rafah crossing to operate Gaza’s power plant as well as other private stations.
