Hamas delegation in Cairo Monday to participate in reconciliation committees

GAZA (PIC)– The Hamas Movement stated that its delegation to Cairo talks will leave on Monday to participate in the work of the five committees in order to reach reconciliation ending the Palestinian division.

In an exclusive statement to the PIC Dr. Ismail Radwan a Hamas spokesman said that the Movement’s delegation has a full concept on the mechanisms of each committee in addition to a vision to be tabled during the meeting of these committees.

Dr. Radwan stressed that the agreement of the five committees will be in the framework of a package deal and the results of any committee’s discussions will not be declared separately adding that any agreement reached will be implemented under united Arab sponsorship.

The spokesman underlined that the Hamas representatives that will be in the committees are MP Ismail Al-Ashqar Dr. Mohamed Awad the secretary general of the Palestinian cabinet Dr. Mousa Abu Marzouk the deputy head of the Hamas political bureau and MP Dr. Mahmoud Al-Zahhar.

The Fatah faction had revealed days ago the names of its representatives in the committees including Nabil Shaath Zakaria Al-Agha and Nasr Youssef.

The committees are scheduled to start their duties in Cairo next Tuesday in order to reach understandings on many issues especially on the reconciliation and the national unity government before the end of this month.

Informed sources affirmed that it had been agreed to form a sixth committee involving Egypt the Arab League and the general secretaries of the Palestinian factions called the higher counseling committee and its duty is to intervene in the event of any disagreement that might occur during the meetings of the five committees.
