A Hamas delegation headed by the Movement’s representative in Lebanon Ali Baraka met with the Lebanese MP Bahia Hariri in Majdelyoun town in southern Lebanon.
Both sides condemned the terrorist attack that recently targeted a Hamas official in Sidon city and called for a Palestinian-Lebanese unity against the Israeli occupation.
For his part Baraka praised Hariri’s support for the rights of the Palestinian people and added that Hamas is in contact with the competent Lebanese authorities to uncover the perpetrators behind Sidon attack.
Baraka affirmed that Lebanon’s civil peace and security is of great importance to Hamas and that the Movement will never be dragged into any external battles with the Israeli occupation saying “Our battle with the Israeli occupation will remain inside the occupied Palestinian territories.”
He stressed that the Palestinian resistance and intifada will continue against the Israeli occupation until the liberation of the entire Palestinian land.
