A top Hamas delegation on Wednesday met with Venezuelan ambassador to Lebanon Jesus Gregorio in Beirut.
The delegation was led by the Palestinian Movement’s representative in Lebanon Ahmed Abdul-Hadi who was accompanied by senior Hamas officials Mashhour Abdul-Halim and Abdul-Majeed al-Awad.
Abdul-Hadi briefed the ambassador on the latest developments in the Palestinian arena especially with regard to the US deal of the century and the last Israeli military escalation against the Gaza Strip.
He also highlighted the humanitarian situation in the Palestinian refugee camps in Lebanon and the need for adopting and carrying out an emergency plan by UNRWA to deal with the harsh economic and living conditions which the Palestinians suffer from in light of the Lebanese economic crisis.
For his part ambassador Gregorio denounced Israel’s recent aggression against Gaza and expressed his country’s support for the Palestinian cause.
He also stressed the importance of making and pooling efforts to confront the challenges facing the Palestinian cause.
