The Hamas Movement has condemned Israel’s violation of the Lebanese airspace with assault drones last night expressing its support for Lebanon and its resistance against any Israeli aggression.
In a statement on Sunday Hamas said the detonation of an Israeli drone carrying explosives in a residential neighborhood in the southern suburb of Beirut was an act of aggression and provocation by the Israeli occupation and a violation of Lebanon’s sovereignty.
Overnight residents of southern Beirut reported hearing a large blast that shook the area triggering a fire. They said the explosion was caused by one of the Israeli drones that went down in the area.
The blast occurred near the Hezbollah group’s media office in the Muawwad district.
An official source from Hezbollah affirmed that two Israeli drones crashed for unknown reasons at dawn Sunday over the southern neighborhoods of the Lebanese capital adding that his group did not shoot down the aircrafts.
The drone incidents happened amid Israeli aerial attacks on neighboring Syria.
