JERICHO (PIC)– Hamas-affiliated detainees in the Jericho jail of Mahmoud Abbas’ authority ended a three-day hunger strike on Tuesday in protest at the maltreatment of jailers.
Sources in the committee of relatives for Hamas detainees in the West Bank told the PIC reporter that the three-day hunger strike was waged in the first days of Ramadan.
They said that the detainees were protesting the arbitrary policy and ill-treatment of jailers.
The sources noted that the prison administration routinely harasses the detainees and their families and prevents entry of life necessities for them.
