The Hamas Movement has offered its deepest condolences to the Moroccan people and its leadership for the tragic loss of five-year-old Rayan Oram whose body was recovered from a well on Saturday.
News of Rayan’s death following a massive five-day rescue operation pitched Morocco into deep grief and drew condolences from around the globe.
The child fell down a deep well in his home village of Ighrane on Tuesday afternoon triggering a huge rescue effort.
“We in the Hamas movement extend our sincere condolences and sympathy to the family of little Rayan to the dear Moroccan people and to all humanity over his death” member of Hamas’s political bureau Ezzat al-Resheq said on his Twitter page.
For his part head of Hamas’s political bureau Ismail Haneyya has expressed his heartfelt condolences to Rayan’s parents and the Moroccan people over the boy’s death.
“The tragedy of little Rayan united the human feelings in the entire world which followed the rescue efforts hour by hour and expressed its sadness for his death after strenuous days in which the rescue teams made great efforts” Haneyya said in a statement.
