Hamas spokesman Abdul Latif Al-Qanou hailed the Huwara shooting attack carried out by the Palestinian policeman Mahmoud Hujeir labeling it as heroic and goes in line with the Palestinian people and resistance’s continuous efforts to confront the Israeli occupation and the Jewish settlers.
“In the midst of the escalating Israeli crimes against our Palestinian people we call on all the members of security and police forces in the West Bank to follow the example of Hujeir and to clash with Israeli soldiers and Jewish settlers to defend the Palestinian lands and holy sites” Al-Qanou tweeted on Friday.
Earlier on Thursday a member of the Palestinian police forces targeted Israeli occupation soldiers stationed at the Huwara checkpoint south of the West Bank city of Nablus local sources said.
Hujeir was arrested after he was severely injured in the neck by the Israeli soldiers’ live bullets. He was later transferred to a hospital in 1948 Occupied Palestine.
