The Hamas Movement has applauded the Palestinian resistance in Jenin refugee camp for clashing with the Israeli occupation forces (IOF) and fending off their raid on the house of martyr Raad Hazem who carried out the last Tel Aviv operation.
In a statement on Saturday Hamas urged the Palestinian people across the occupied territories to step up clashes with the IOF and settlers in response to their crimes and in support of the Jenin people.
The Movement also mourned martyr Ahmed as-Saadi a commander of the Islamic Jihad Movement’s al-Quds Brigades in Jenin who was killed after he and other resistance fighters ambushed Israeli troops and clashed with them in Jenin camp.
The IOF stormed the camp in the morning to raid the house of martyr Hazem and arrest his father but its mission failed following fierce armed clashes with resistance fighters.
In addition to the death of Saadi during today’s raid 13 others were reportedly injured during the skirmishes.
Saturday’s raid took place one day after the Israeli police said their forces shot dead Hazem who managed to kill three Israelis and wounded more than a dozen last Thursday in a popular nightlife district of Tel Aviv.
