Hamas hailed on Thursday the position of UN human rights experts who condemned the use of lethal force by the Israeli occupation to disperse peaceful Palestinian demonstrators taking part in the Great March of Return at eastern Gaza borders.
In a statement the Palestinian Resistance Movement Hamas said that it supports the calls launched by international experts for an international fact-finding mission to probe the crimes and violations perpetrated by the Israeli occupation against the peaceful Palestinian protestors.
Hamas said an investigation into Israeli crimes is an important step to show the truth and expose the crimes committed against the Palestinian people.
It added that serious steps should be taken to indict Israel’s war criminals and bring its before international courts.
Hamas also lauded the UN experts for demanding an end to the oppressive Israeli siege that has been imposed on the Gaza Strip for over a decade.
