The Israeli occupation authorities (IOA) on Wednesday evening released the Hamas leader Nazih Abu Oun after he had served his administrative sentence in Israeli jails.
The 54-year-old Hamas leader nicknamed Abu Ayssar was received by his friends relatives and fellow activists at his family home in Jenin’s southern town of Jaba’.
Following appeals by the lawyer an Israeli occupation court ruled for releasing Abu Oun after he had served his administrative prison-term in an Israel jail.
Anti-occupation activist Abu Oun had spent a total of 15 years in Israeli lock-ups during which he had been sentenced to various prison-terms and administrative sentences. He was last detained by the Israeli occupation forces for his involvement in campaigns advocating prisoners’ rights.
