Hamas on Tuesday received a Fatah delegation led by its group’s secretary in the Lebanese city of Sidon.
Fatah leaders Abu Ghassan al-Ajouri Shawki al-Saba’ Nasser Mi’ari and Abdul Rahman Abu Salah were also in attendance.
The Fatah delegation was welcomed by Hamas’s political chief in Sidon Aymen Shana’a along with the group’s leaders Khaled Z’eitar and Rafiq Abdullah.
Hamas and Fatah lauded the fraternity bonds between the two parties in the Lebanese territories and stressed the need to prop up mutual cooperation so as to foster national consensus.
The delegations expressed their wishes for a better future for their “Lebanese brothers and sisters” vowing that the Palestinian refugee community particularly in Ein al-Hilweh camp will do whatever it takes to preserve security and order in Lebanon.
