Hamas Movement organized on Friday a massive rally in the northern Gaza Strip to celebrate its 34th anniversary.
Thousands of Hamas members and supporters participated in the rally launched after Friday prayer in the northern Gaza Strip.
During the rally member of Hamas political bureau Mahmoud al-Zahhar confirmed that the resistance will continue in all forms until the liberation of Palestine indicating that the battle “Sword of Jerusalem” had paved the road to the next stage.
In his speech during a mass rally west of Gaza City celebrating the Movement’s foundation anniversary Zahhar said that Hamas is preparing to liberate Palestine and will defeat the occupation.
Hamas is a national liberation movement founded to liberate its land and protect its people and sanctities Zahhar said stressing in this regard that the British decision against Hamas is invalid.
Zahhar saluted all countries that support the Palestinian resistance calling on the Arab and Islamic peoples and Muslim scholars to support the resistance and the oppressed peoples.
Zahhar pointed out that normalization with the “Zionist enemy” is a betrayal to humanity and to the peoples who support the Palestinian cause indicating further that it is a denial of the Palestinian sacrifices.
The participation of the Palestinian people in the 34th-anniversary rally affirms their adherence to their Palestinian land and sanctities which Hamas seeks to liberate he added.
Addressing the Palestinian prisoners in his speech Zahhar said “We promised to liberate our heroes from the occupation prisons no matter the cost and Hamas will not deviate from its promise.”
For his part Hamas leader Mushir al-Masri confirmed that Hamas will continue resistance foremost the armed struggle.
Masri stressed that Jerusalem is a red line and will remain the center of the conflict noting that defending it is a sacred duty.
“Al-Qassam Brigades has strong cards to inaugurate a new prisoner swap and the detainees’ issue tops Hamas’s priorities and it will work to liberate all detainees in the Zionist prisons” Masri added.
“Hamas adheres to achieving national unity making great concessions with flexibility and welcoming all Arab efforts that motivate the reconciliation” he added.
The Hamas leader called on the Palestinian Authority to stop the security coordination with the occupation as it is the most dangerous to the resistance project to lift the punitive measures imposed on Gaza and to end political arrests.
Masri considered normalization with the occupation as a stab in the back of the Palestinian cause calling on normalizing nations to correct their legitimate national and moral path before it is too late.
He finally called on the Arab and Islamic nations and the free peoples of the world to engage in real partnership in the liberation project of Palestine and Jerusalem from the occupation.
