Hamas office of refugee affairs praised Tuesday the Lebanese former minister Hassan Mneimneh’s statements in which he refused plans to disband UNRWA.
Head of the Lebanese-Palestinian dialogue committee and former Lebanese minister Hassan Mneimneh has earlier called on Arab countries to act immediately to put an end to Israeli incitement against UNRWA.
The Hamas office hailed the Lebanese minister’s position stressing the importance of the Palestinian refugees issue and their right of return.
Earlier on Sunday Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu called for the dissolution of UNRWA the UN agency responsible for providing services to more than five million Palestinian refugees across the occupied Palestinian territory and the Middle East.
