Hamas press for mass protests on “Friday of Anger” over Jerusalem

Friday 22-December-2017

Hamas Movement has called on the Palestinians regardless of their partisan affiliations to take to the streets following Friday’s noon prayers in support of Occupied Jerusalem and al-Aqsa Mosque.

A congregational prayer is expected to be held by Hamas supporters near the northern entrance to Bethlehem before heading for flashpoints with the Israeli occupation army.

Hamas in Tulkarem also launched calls for a mass participation in a march set to kick off following noon prayers on Friday at the New Mosque.

A statement by Hamas urged the Palestinians to escalate protests across all provinces and villages and to stand on guard to Israeli attacks on the demonstrators.

At least 10 Palestinians were killed and 3500 others injured by the Israeli army since Thursday December 7 in fierce clashes that rocked the occupied Palestinian territories shortly after the U.S. President Donald Trump recognized Jerusalem as the capital of Israel.
