Hamas on Wednesday called for intensifying presence at holy al-Aqsa Mosque so as to defend the site against projected Israeli break-ins on the occasion of the Jewish Passover.
Hamas spokesman Husam Badran said mass vigils should be staged at al-Aqsa around the clock at a time when Israeli calls for mass break-ins into the site to mark the Passover holiday have reached the peak.
Badran warned of the upshots of Israel’s escalation against al-Aqsa Mosque which he said will trigger serious responses by the Palestinians across the occupied territories.
The Hamas leader acclaimed the efforts made by youth activists to raise awareness of the Israeli aggressions against al-Aqsa place of worship the third holiest site in Islam.
