The Hamas Movement has expressed its rejection of Israeli premier Naftali Bennett’s recent claims that Israel has sovereignty over Occupied Jerusalem and the Aqsa Mosque.
“Such remarks are considered a flagrant infringement on our people’s sacred rights and Jordan’s custodianship of the Aqsa Mosque as well as a disregard for all international norms and resolutions — which entails urgent action to condemn and criminalize them with all available means” member of Hamas’s political bureau Ezzat al-Resheq stated on Sunday.
Resheq stressed that the Israeli occupation government has no right or sovereignty over Jerusalem and the Aqsa Mosque describing Bennett’s remarks as “a desperate attempt to impose a reality that only exists in his dreams.”
“The Palestinian people have exclusive sovereignty and legitimacy over the historical land of Palestine and are able to protect every inch of their blessed land especially Jerusalem and the Aqsa Mosque” he said.
