Hamas has condemned in the strongest terms a recent decision by the Republic of Guatemala to transfer its Israeli embassy from Tel Aviv to Occupied Jerusalem.
In a Wednesday statement Hamas said Guatemala’s projected move is another offense committed against the Palestinians by the allies of the U.S. and Israel in contravention of international resolutions.
“Such irresponsible moves represent flagrant violations of Palestinians’ inalienable rights” the statement read.
Hamas urged the world’s pro-Palestine states and institutions to pressurize Guatemala so as to backtrack on such a violence-rousing step and reconsider its position as regards the Palestinian anti-occupation struggle.
