Wednesday 14-February-2007

GAZA (PIC)– Hamas Movement on Tuesday condemned the US decision to offer a $5 million reward for information that leads to the capture of Ramadhan Shallah the secretary-general of the Islamic Jihad describing it as gangsterism.

The PIC obtained a copy of a press statement issued by Fawzi Barhoum the spokesman of Hamas in Gaza Strip in which it is stressed that the US decision poses real danger to Shallah’s life and doesn’t help peace and stability efforts in the region.

He further urged the USA to stop practicing such “arrogant” policies especially at a time when all US efforts to subjugate people around the world are failing.

On Tuesday the US state department offered the reward for the capture of Shallah or Hizbullah official Mohammed Hammadi alleging they were on top of the “most wanted” list of the FBI.

According to the US claims Hammadi was indicted by an American court for planning and participating in hijacking a TWA plane in 1985. Shallah the state department alleged was cooperating with the Islamic Jihad in killing IOF troops.

Armed wing of the Islamic Jihad the Quds Brigades vowed to jeopardize US interests in the region if Shallah is harmed.

The Islamic Jihad is one of the Palestinian resistance factions that fight the Israeli occupation forces in Palestine.

UN charter sanctioned the right of all people under occupation to resist that occupation with all means available till full liberation which the Palestinian resistance factions are practicing.
