Spokesman of the Hamas Movement Jihad Taha has said that the United Nations’ sponsoring of the Global Congress of Victims of Terrorism is an opportunity to stress that the Palestinians have been victims of the “most dangerous and ongoing terrorist occupation” in the world for more than seven decades.
In a press release on Friday Taha underlined that the Israeli occupation resulted in killing a hundred thousand Palestinians and injuring hundreds of thousands in addition to detaining more than a million and displacing millions of Palestinians.
“In addition to holding the Global Congress of Victims of Terrorism the United Nations should focus on the ongoing tragedy the Palestinian people have been going through across occupied Palestine and in the diaspora” Taha affirmed.
He called on the UN to shoulder its responsibility and hold the Israeli leaders to account for their ongoing crimes against the Palestinian people land and sanctities in addition to supporting the Palestinian people’s just cause until their liberation and return.
