The Hamas Movement’s refugee affairs office in Lebanon has called on UNRWA to fulfill its responsibilities and duties towards the Palestinian refugees without prejudice especially in light of the coronavirus pandemic.
“According to UNRWA’s performance and its officials’ floundering remarks it is clear that the performance is limited to some measures that do not rise to the level of the crisis” Hamas’s refugee office said in a press release.
“It has also become known that the agency will distribute aid to a limited segment of our people which is insufficient and does not meet the needs of the affected persons who make up the vast majority of our people” the office added.
It called on UNRWA to implement an emergency relief plan and distribute aid to all Palestinian refugees in Lebanon.
