The Hamas Movement has expressed its appreciation to a Kuwaiti academic delegation for withdrawing from a Bahraini conference because of the participation of Israelis.
“Such valued positions by the Kuwaiti leadership and people go in harmony with the Ummah’s conscience and are recorded in the lists of honor and pride” Hamas spokesman Hazem Qasem said in a statement on Saturday.
Spokesman Qasem added that the withdrawal from a conference attended by Israelis reflected Kuwait’s unwavering support for the Palestinian people and their struggle for their land and holy sites.
A Kuwaiti academic delegation decided to withdraw from a conference hosted by the University of Bahrain after knowing that an Israeli delegation would attend it according to Kuwait Youth for al-Quds on its Twitter page on Friday.
