The Hamas Movement has applauded Malaysia’s principled rejection of any form of normalized ties with the Israeli occupation state and its recent refusal to allow Israeli squash players to enter the country to participate in a world championship.
In a press release on Wednesday Hamas lauded the unwavering and historic position of Malaysia’s monarch government and people against the normalization of ties with the occupation state.
The Movement expressed its regret over the World Squash Federation’s decision to deprive Malaysia of its right to host the sports event stressing that “the criminal Zionist entity which attacks the Palestinian land and its people desecrates the holy sites commits crimes against the Palestinian youths and seeks to destroy the Palestinian sports sector does not deserve to participate in international events.”
It also expressed its solidarity with Malaysia and its right to host this championship and other international events without having to accept Israeli delegations on its territory.
