GAZA (PIC)– Hamas Movement on Saturday warned the IOF troops of continuing to practice the internationally-prohibited policy of using Palestinian minors as human shields during their military incursions into the West Bank cities.
The Movement’s warning was voiced by its spokesman in Gaza Strip Fawzi Barhoum who also urged local and international human rights and legal organizations to “unmask the immoral IOF practices and to rally behind legal rights of the oppressed Palestinian people”.
“The IOF troops were and are trampling on international laws and conventions regarding children in clear undermining of those statutes amidst unexplainable silence on the part of the international community” Barhoum underlined.
To substantiate his remarks Barhoum cited a number of human right violations at the hands of the IOF troops including unleashing a police dog at a Palestinian woman who screamed for help but to no avail.
The incident was documented and aired on different satellite TV channels across the world few days ago.
On Friday a videotape recorded by a foreign photographer was aired on a number of satellite TV channels showing Israeli soldiers forcing two Palestinian minors to stand in front of those soldiers’ jeep in Nablus city to shield them from possible Palestinian retaliation.
