Hamas warns PG of repeating raid on Islamic University

Wednesday 16-May-2007

GAZA (PIC)– Hamas Movement has sent a clear warning to the PA Presidential Guards (PG) not to attempt to target the Islamic University once more affirming that any attempt against the University would inflict detrimental repercussions on the attackers.

The Movement’s stern warnings came at the backdrop of the PA PG elements’ attempts to raid and ransack the University in the same way they did months ago when they torched the University and inflicted damage on it estimated at 15 million dollars.

According to a statement issued by Hamas and a copy of which was faxed to the PIC elements of the PA PG and Fatah vandals were deployed on rooftops of building adjacent to the University but attempts to storm it had failed so far due to the intense presence of QB fighters inside.

As this develops Hamas urged PA chief Mahmoud Abbas to curb his forces holding him responsible for any harm they might inflict on the university.

In addition eyewitnesses and security sources affirmed that the PG elements and Fatah vandals were targeting homes of QB field commanders in Gaza and Khan Younis cities including home of Zuhdi Abu Nema’a the QB commander in Khuza’a town east of Khan Younis among other QB homes.
