The Hamas Movement has warned the new US administration of moving its embassy to Occupied Jerusalem affirming that such a step will inaugurate a new stage of conflict with Israel and create a reality that only Washington will be held accountable for.
“Such a step will reflect a gross bias in favor of the Zionist entity and thus will make the US administration lose any political role with regard to the conflict with the occupation in the region and this also confirms what we have always been saying about the absence of American integrity” Hamas stated in a press release on Tuesday.
The Movement described the step as “an attempt to eliminate what has been left of the Palestinian people’s national rights and cause” stressing that the Palestinians and the free peoples of the Arab and Islamic worlds do not recognize any Israeli sovereignty over a single inch of the Palestinian land.
“This step would constitute a clear and practical coup against all UN and international resolutions on Jerusalem and the Palestinian people’s rights to their land and country” Hamas underlined.
The Movement also warned that the US administration’s intent to relocate its embassy to the holy city would create other explosive climates in the region and add fuel to the fire holding it fully responsible for all reactions to its “foolish step.”
