Hamas warned on Sunday that the Zionist terrorist plot to dismantle the Dome of the Rock to erect the alleged temple in its place will trigger a regional war.
Hamas said in a statement that the Al-Aqsa Mosque with all its chapels squares and the Dome of the Rock Mosque is an Islamic holy site and a right for Muslims only.
It stressed that the settlers’ continuous attempts under the Israeli occupation authority’s protection to change conditions at the Al-Aqsa Mosque will fail.
The Holy Al-Aqsa Mosque is exposed to repeated Zionist incursions by the so-called Temple groups under the protection of the Israeli occupation authorities.
The Hebrew media published reports on a Zionist plot against the Al-Aqsa Mosque and its chapels. The so-called Temple groups seek to dismantle the Dome of the Rock in preparation for building the alleged Third Temple in its place the reports said.
“We will defend our Al-Aqsa Mosque the first of the two Qiblas with all our strength and whatever sacrifices it cost us” Hamas added.
It called on Palestinians to intensify their presence at Al-Aqsa Mosque and called on the Palestinian Authority to support the Jerusalemites by all means. Hamas also called on Arab and Islamic nations to unite in defense of the Palestine cause and Al-Aqsa Mosque.
