GAZA (PIC)– The Hamas Movement has warned of persistent security coordination between the PA security apparatuses in the West Bank and the Israeli occupation forces calling on Palestinian factions to denounce the phenomenon.
The Hamas position was voiced after Tawfik Al-Tirawi the commander of PA intelligence apparatus in the West Bank acknowledged that he arrested a group of resistance fighters on charges of planning to assassinate Israeli premier Ehud Olmert while on his way to meet PA chief Mahmoud Abbas in Jericho.
Hamas MP Mushir Al-Masri said on Monday that the unprecedented step meant the PA security apparatuses affiliated with Abbas were protecting “criminals and killers such as Olmert”.
“Arresting the Mujahideen and Tirawi’s affirmation that they were still under interrogation fell in line with the serious security coordination with the enemy” Masri charged.
He called on the resistance factions especially the AMB the armed wing of Fatah faction to clearly declare their position against those figures “who are protecting Zionists”.
“Tirawi should have rather protected late PA chief Yasser Arafat who was poisoned before the very eyes of Tirawi and his likes” Masri said adding that Tirawi and his security apparatuses should also have rather protected the Palestinian people who are the daily targets of IOF incursions.
