Hamas on Saturday denied claims that it refused to meet Fatah delegates in Cairo.
Hamas spokesman Fawzi Barhoum denied reports released by Raialyoum newspaper and Sama News Agency that the group refused to meet Fatah representatives during the Cairo stopover.
“Such claims are counterfeit and groundless” said Barhoum.
“We warn of the upshots of such lies which aim to harm Hamas-Egypt ties” he added.
Hamas called on Sama News Agency and Raialyoum newspaper to apologize for the fake reports and to well-research data before releasing it to the audience.
