The Hamas Movement has welcomed the report that was released recently by a special UN commission which was tasked with investigating Israel’s practices in the occupied Palestinian territories.
“The report has documented crimes and violations against the Palestinian land and people including cold-blooded killings assassinations systematic torture against prisoners forced exile racial discrimination and segregation denial of construction permits settlement expansion thefts of Palestinian natural resources and finally the unjust blockade on our people in the Gaza Strip — which has been going on for over 15 years” Hamas said in a statement on Sunday.
“As covered by previous international reports this report reveals once again the enormity of the occupation’s violations crimes and aggressive practices against our land and people” the Movement added.
It appealed to the international community and their competent organizations to assume their human and legal responsibilities and work on putting an end to the violations and crimes committed by the occupation state and its settlers against the Palestinian people.
It also called for ending Israel’s impunity holding its leaders accountable as war criminals and doing justice to the Palestinian people and their legitimate rights.
