Hamdallah demands full control over security in Gaza

Monday 13-November-2017

Palestinian Prime Minister Rami al-Hamdallah on Monday demanded full control over security in Gaza.

“The success of the consensus government’s work in Gaza and the efficiency of the recommendations of the three committees that were formed to end the internal division depend on solving the security issue” he said.

In his speech delivered to a conference in Nablus city in the northern West Bank Hamdallah said: “Without taking full control of our security duties our work would be incomplete and ineffective”.

Sami Abu Zuhri for his part called on premier Hamdallah to respect the provisions of the reconciliation agreement without selectivity.

In a statement posted on his official Facebook page Abu Zuhri asked Hamdallah to stop putting conditions and obstacles in the way of the reconciliation and to stop procrastinating in lifting the punitive measures on Gaza.
