Hammad exposes plans to spread chaos in Gaza

Wednesday 20-May-2009

GAZA (PIC)– The PA interior minister Fathi Hammad has exposed Wednesday plans “cooked” by the Ramallah-based PA with the aim to destabilize the Gaza Strip.

In an interview with Al-Jazeera net on Wednesday Hammad pointed out that his ministry uncovered a number of spy rings in the Strip working for the Zionist enemy and for the Ramallah authority adding that his ministry does its best to foil those plans and to maintain law and order in the Strip.

“Those plans were prepared and placed in the drawers of the Ramallah-based authority waiting for the proper time to carry them out in Gaza Strip” underlined Hammad adding that the Palestinian people were facing a “treacherous trend” within Fatah faction working for “Israel”.

“There are two projects in the Palestinian arena; the first is the revival project that Hamas Movement leads and the second one is the project of surrender which is led by a treacherous trend within Fatah faction” highlighted Hammad.

But although he acknowledged that the security condition in Gaza was complicated due to the external threat represented by the Israeli atrocities against Gaza and the internal security threat which the treacherous trend represents that engulf the Strip Hammad underscored that his ministry did and will do the best it could to repel those threats.

He also revealed that the intelligence information was seized from Fatah elements who were on their way to hand over to the PA intelligence departments in the West Bank adding that the information was also sent to Israeli American and Arab intelligence services as well.

“I’ am convinced that the next stage would witness a number of conspiracies directed by the Ramallah authority and the Zionist enemy including mass strikes preemptive air strikes against homes of Qassam Brigades’ elements and leaders” Hammad underscored pointing out that the spies’ information were updated by the Ramallah authority and then fed back to the Zionist information bank.

Nevertheless Hammad asserted that his ministry and the legitimate PA government in Gaza were and still are trying to end once and for all such phenomenon in the Palestinian community and to bring those spies back to the Palestinian mainstream.

He also ruled out another Israeli military invasion to the populated Gaza Strip similar to the Israeli war on Gaza last January at least in the near future because he added the war had failed to achieve any of the Zionist entity’s goals including providing security to Israeli settlements around Gaza Strip.

But he emphasized that the PA security forces in Gaza Strip along with the Palestinian resistance fighters were ready to repel and defeat any Israeli military adventure in Gaza in the future.
