Haneyya: Hamas and Cairo entered a stage of strategic dialog

Head of Hamas’s political bureau Ismail Haneyya has said that his Movement’s relations with Egypt entered a stage of strategic dialog adding that he discussed different Palestinian issues with Egyptian officials during his recent visit to Cairo.

This came during his meeting on Monday with journalists in Gaza to brief them about the Hamas delegation’s recent visit to Cairo.

Haneyya applauded the noble message delivered by the Palestinian Arab and Islamic media outlets in support of the Palestinian people and their national cause describing them as “resistance platforms” whose language is understood by the whole world.

He stressed the importance of the media to convey the Palestinian story in order to regain the Palestinian cause’s prestige debunk the Israeli narrative highlight the injustice being inflicted on the Palestinian people and defend the Palestinian rights.

The Hama official expressed his appreciation to the Palestinian media outlets for the efforts they make to confront all the challenges and saluted the steadfast Palestinians in Jerusalem and at the Aqsa Mosque.

He said that his visit to Cairo was made within the framework of his Movement’s keenness on staying in contact with its Arab brothers asserting that the Palestinian cause was always the focus of any discussion or talks between Hamas and officials during all visits to Arab and Islamic countries.

He explained that several Palestinian issues were addressed during his recent talks with Egyptian officials especially the mutual relations the blockade on Gaza the inter-Palestinian reconciliation and the political developments facing the Palestinian cause.
