Head of Hamas’s political bureau Ismail Haneyya has said that the Israeli occupation state “is delusional if it thinks that it could change the Islamic character of the Aqsa Mosque” through its daily police raids and settler break-ins.
In press remarks on Thursday Haneyya affirmed that the persistent Israeli violations at the Aqsa Mosque would shorten the life of the occupation state and speed its removal from the land of Palestine.
The Hamas leader expressed his belief that the Palestinian resistance would defeat what he described as “the policy of daily break-ins” at the Aqsa Mosque as it defeated Wednesday’s flag march in Occupied Jerusalem.
“We are still at the beginning of the battle” he said.
He applauded the Palestinian citizens who defend the Aqsa Mosque every day describing them as “the first line of defense” for the Islamic holy site.
