Haneyya: Jerusalem is not negotiable

Ismail Haneyya Hamas’s leader said on Thursday that during the contacts with world officials and leaders before during and after the Saif Al-Quds battle his Movement affirmed its categorical rejection to negotiate on Jerusalem.

Haneyya during a meeting with several members of Hamas’s leadership and Arab and foreign ambassadors and diplomats in the Qatari capital Doha discussed the details of the offers that the Movement’s leadership received through mediators on the issue of Jerusalem and aggression on Gaza.

He briefed the ambassadors on the details of the recent Israeli aggression on the Gaza Strip its causes and repercussions and future steps based on those repercussions stressing that Israel is responsible for the recent aggression.

The Hamas leader welcomed calls for dialogue with the Movement calling for making all efforts to reconstruct what the occupation has destroyed.

Haneyya praised the countries that announced their intentions to contribute to this project affirming that the issue of reconstruction is a humanitarian issue.

He stressed the importance of Palestinian national unity and said “We will move towards re-building Palestinian national unity based on a unified strategy for liberation and return.”
