Haneyya: Palestinians gear up to reap reconciliation fruits

Wednesday 27-September-2017

The Palestinians should get ready to pick the harvest of national unity Political Bureau Chairman of Hamas Ismail Haneyya said on Wednesday.

Speaking during the funeral procession of the al-Qassam resistance fighter Mohamed Hassan at Gaza’s al-Umari Mosque Haneyya said: “Hassan aged 61 departs this life while the Palestinians have been gearing up to garner the harvest of national reconciliation.”

“Hassan is a resistance icon on the land of Palestine. Today we bid farewell to one of our dearest brothers” said Haneyya. “Hassan had not spared a single effort to defend his land and people despite the mountainous journey he had been made to endure on the anti-occupation road.”

Mohamed Hassan nicknamed Abu Nidal was pronounced dead at daybreak Wednesday in Gaza after he succumbed to a lethal disease infecting his body. He had been locked up for over 25 years in Israeli jails and had his two sons Nidhal and Ammar killed by the Israeli occupation forces.

Haneyya further lauded the anti-occupation attack carried out near Har Adar settlement outpost which he said “makes part of the price Israel should pay for occupying the Palestinian land.”
