The head of Hamas’s political bureau Ismail Haneyya affirmed in press statements on Tuesday evening that the issue of Palestinian detainees is and will remain a top priority for the Movement.
Speaking to al-Aqsa TV channel on the Wafa al-Ahrar prisoner exchange deal anniversary Haneyya vowed to reach a new prisoners’ swap deal to release the Palestinians imprisoned in Israeli jails.
He further stressed that the Palestinian people are determined to defend the prisoners Jerusalem and Al-Aqsa issues till achieving freedom.
This is the Almighty’s pledge and the pledge of the resistance Hamas and Al-Qassam Brigades he added.
He pointed out that the Wafa al-Ahrar prisoner exchange deal was one of the most important accomplishments of the Palestinian resistance.
The Wafa al-Ahrar anniversary coincides with our people’s revolt against the occupation especially in Jerusalem Nablus Jenin and Shuafat refugee camp he added.
Haneyya concluded by hailing the strong determination and patience of hundreds of Palestinian prisoners who are held in Israeli jails.
