Head of Hamas’s Political Bureau Ismail Haneyya expressed over a phone call with the Speaker of the Jordanian Parliament Atef al-Tarawneh his refusal of encroaching the historic role of Jordan in defending Occupied Jerusalem and the Islamic sacred places.
Haneyya also strongly stressed the Palestinian rejection of the so-called alternative home.
Haneyya’s office disclosed in a statement on Wednesday that Haneyya called on Tarawneh to exert more efforts in order to boost mutual coordination to halt the US decision that stipulates the recognition of Jerusalem as capital of Israel and relocating the US embassy from Tel Aviv to the holy city.
For his part Tarawneh asserted that the Palestinian Question is the first priority for the Jordanians. He affirmed that efforts are being exerted with international parliamentarians in order to pressure for cancelling the US decision.
