Haneyya asks Arab Summit to support Palestinian people and resistance

Head of Hamas’s political bureau Ismail Haneyya has urged the participants in the Arab Summit to be held in Algeria to support the Palestinian people and their resistance.

This came in a message the Hamas leader addressed to the 31st Arab Summit slated to be held today Tuesday in the Algerian capital Algiers.

Haneyya called on the participating heads of state and delegations to adopt the “Algeria Declaration for Palestinian Reunification” as part of the Arab Summit’s resolutions.

He called on the conferees to reiterate the centrality of the Palestinian cause to the Arab world and work on helping the Palestinian people and their resistance restore their rights fully and establish their independent state with Jerusalem as its capital.

The Hamas leader also called for taking resolutions and steps to protect the Islamic and Christian holy sites especially the Aqsa Mosque support the steadfastness of the Jerusalemites in the holy city and the prisoners in Israeli jails and provide mechanisms to execute the previous decisions that had been issued by the previous summits regarding the Israeli blockade on Gaza.

He stressed the need for the Arab countries to pay attention to the Palestinian refugees at home and abroad provide them with a decent life support their right to return to their homeland and condemn and expose the Israeli occupation state’s crimes and violations against the Palestinian people.
