Deputy chairman of the Hamas political bureau Ismail Haneyya called on Saturday for maintaining efforts exerted to find a complete and comprehensive solution for the electricity crisis in Gaza.
This came during a call between Haneyya and the Turkish presidency as the latter declared approval to urgently send fuel to the Gaza Strip as a contribution to addressing the electricity crisis in the Strip.
Haneyya expressed his appreciation and gratitude for this rapid response by the Turkish presidency to solve this problem caused by the unjust siege imposed on the Palestinian people in Gaza.
According to a statement on Saturday by the office of the Hamas leader there is an expected meeting between Haneyya and Tamim Bin Hamad Emir of Qatar to discuss the electricity crisis as well as many other issues.
Haneyya affirmed that he will continue his efforts and contacts to achieve a radical solution for this crisis calling on the steadfast Palestinian people in the Gaza Strip to cooperate and prioritize the public interest.
