Head of Hamas’s political bureau Ismail Haneyya on Saturday phoned martyr Ahmad Al-Atrash’s family. Al-Atrash was killed by IOF bullets in Al-Khalil clashes on Friday.
Haneyya expressed his deepest condolences to the family of the freedom fighter al-Atrash who spent ten years in Israeli prisons stressing that his blood and the blood of all the martyrs are the means by which the Palestinian holy sites will be liberated.
“The Palestinian people in the West Bank and Jerusalem will follow the martyrs’ footsteps and confront the Zionist arrogance” Haneyya confirmed.
Israeli occupation forces (IOF) shot Al-Atrash in the head on Friday killing him instantly in al-Khalil while others were injured by IOF bullets in separate areas in the West Bank.
Press sources reported that the martyr a former prisoner was released from Israeli prisons about a year ago.
