GAZA (PIC)– Ismail Haneyya the premier of the legitimate PA caretaker government on Wednesday evening congratulated a number of Arab leaders over the phone on the advent of the holy month of Ramadan and reiterated his readiness for dialogue with PA chief Mahmoud Abbas.

Sources in Haneyya’s office said that he reached the heads of state of the Sudan Qatar and Yemen in addition to Egyptian intelligence chief Omar Suleiman over the phone and affirmed his readiness to open dialogue with Abbas at any time to restore cohesion to the Palestinian people.

He also stressed the “important Arab role in solving inter-Palestinian differences” and explained the harsh conditions of the Palestinian people under the siege especially in the Gaza Strip where he described the situation as “difficult and complicated”.

Haneyya touched on the issue of the civil servants and how the illegitimate government in Ramallah was severing the salaries of 16000 employees other than sacking dozens of senior officials in various ministries.

The premier also briefed the Arab leaders on the Zionist threats to the Gaza Strip.

Shifting to the autumn conference called for by US president George Bush on the Palestinian-Israeli conflict he said that Abbas’s bet on this conference is a “mirage” and added that the Israeli occupation would not give him anything.

For their part the Arab leaders affirmed the importance of dialogue and solving internal disputes. They promised to continue efforts to lift the siege imposed on the Palestinian people.
