Head of Hamas’s political bureau Ismail Haneyya has offered his heartfelt condolences to the families of eight boys who were killed in a traffic collision last Thursday in the occupied West Bank.
Haneyya consoled the families in a brief speech he delivered over the phone during the funeral of the victims on Friday.
The Hamas leader described the victims as martyrs who lived on the land of struggle and resistance and traveled in search of a decent life.
He conveyed his Movement’s deep sympathy with the bereaved families asking Allah Almighty to bestow His mercy upon the victims and make paradise their eternal dwelling.
The boys aged between 14 and 17 were killed in a tragic traffic accident on a highway in the north of Jericho in the West Bank while they were returning from work on Thursday evening.
On Friday morning the funeral procession of the eight boys started from Nablus towards Aqraba town to the southeast of it. The town witnessed extensive preparations for the burial of the victims amid a state of great sadness that enveloped its residents.
The victims are Jaser Zaher bani-Jamea Mohamed Hamza bani-Jamea Hamada Hekmat bani-Jaber Zaid Mutasim bani-Manya Baraa Zakariya bani-Manya Hamada Husam bani-Jamea Moataz Ibrahim Dallah and Yazid Burhan bani-Jamea.
