The political bureau chairman of Hamas Movement Ismail Haneyya on Wednesday met with Qatari deputy premier and foreign minister Mohammed Al-Thani in Doha.
A Hamas media statement said that the two sides discussed latest Palestinian developments especially following the “Saif al-Quds” battle and the Qatari reconstruction efforts in Gaza Strip and the Qatari grant to the beleaguered enclave.
The Qatari minister affirmed that his country was exerting utmost efforts to start the reconstruction process according to the Hamas statement.
It added that Haneyya for his part praised the Qatari Emir Sheikh Tamim Bin Hamed’s stands towards the Palestinian issue and the Qatari diplomatic efforts in support of the Palestinian people.
The discussion also tackled means of rearranging the Palestinian internal political scene and restoring national unity the statement concluded.
